Fit Kids for boys and girls age 9-12 meets every Monday and Thursday from 4:30 to 5:15pm. Activities and exercises are let by Laura Martin. Come join the fun! Cost is free for members and $30 monthly for non-members. Sign up at the front desk.
Boys and girls ages 13 and 14 who are interested in working out in the weight room can go through a Weight Room Orientation class. This class will teach them how to conduct themselves in the weight room and how to use the machines. Once they have gone through the orientation they will get a bracelet that they must wear when working out. They would be allowed to come with an adult member to the weight room. There is no cost for the class, but the student's membership rate will change from the youth rate of $10 monthly to the student rate of $23 monthly. CYCLING: A non-impact workout that is both challenging and fun. Add this to your exercise routine for a great cross-training benefit. You control the resistance of the group cycling bikes. Designed for all fitness levels. Space is limited. Sign up at the front desk.
CYCLE AND TONE: Combine cycling with toning and you've got a full-body challenging workout. Space is limited. Be sure to sign-up at the front desk to reserve your spot.
FIT KIDS: A fun-filled 45-minute fitness class for kids ages 9-12.
INTERVAL TRAINING: Challenge yourself with this combination of high-intensity intervals and lower intensity strength training intervals.
KARATE: This class is open to students ages 7 and up. It is under the direction of Master Johnny Kelly who has 26 years experience in Karate.
MUSCLE PUMP: A total body strengthening class using body bars, fee weights, resistance tubing, steps and stability balls.
PILATES PLUS: Join this noon class for a 45-minute workout designed to tone your entire body. This workout combines Pilates, toning, and stretching and will leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready to face the ramainder of your day.
ROCK THAT JAM!: Learn some great new dance moves and you may even forget that you are working out! This class combines high energy dance aerobics with toning.
SILVERSNEAKERS: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strenght, range of movement, and activity for dayily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SILVERSNEAKERS Cross Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular enduracne power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silversneakers ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.
SILVERSNEAKERS Yoga Stretch: This class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
STEP 'N TONE: A non-stop hour of cardio, step, and sculpting moves ending with a great stretch.
TAI CHI: Tai Ji was originall created as a martial art. It utilizes the ancient philosophy of Yin-Yang and is one of the most respected practices for exercise, meditaion and martial arts in the world.
ZUMBA: The new fitness craze that fuses Latin-based-rhythms and movtivating music, unique moves, and challenging combinations. Bring your energy and dance away your worries.
